# Internal Server Error?

   Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration
   and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator,
   [webmaster@bbayne.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/internal-server-error-1/webmaster@bbayne.com?output_format=md)
   and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done
   that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available
   in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered 
   while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. ——————————————————————————–

 * get rid of your .htaccess via FTP or modify it thru the admin interface if you
   can still access to it (which I doubt you can).

 * Well, if you don’t know then perhaps you don’t have one – check your server logs
   to see what additional errors are there.

 * and where would the server logs be? I am using a webhosting service and doubt
   that I have access to any server logs.
    although i have noticed that from time
   to time, i’ll get a error_log in my folder, but i don’t have one now.
