Support » Fixing WordPress » Internal CSS, Inline CSS and Link rel CSS

  • Hello,

I don’t really know how to ask this question… But this is my first WordPress site and I’m not that familiar with WordPress or any other “CMS”… There’s a lot of CMS’s out there. lol I’m wondering if there’s any plugins/hacks that will let you do like per page xhtml or html/css. Like one page css, another page css, another page css and so on… Almost like custom html, css; like Internal Style Sheet, Inline Styles and link rel css. Can you do that? Thanks 🙂

  • Yes, typically that’s done via the selectors used in the external CSS stylesheets. Most themes assign unique page id’s or classes – so you can use those to target specific pages. Some CSS is put in the head (internal) via plugins or theme options, but in general, you should use external stylesheets and avoid inline CSS as much as possible.

In the bigger picture, are you just trying to target one webpage?

@ Thx WPyogi, I’ll try to do that…

@andrew, well, I have several inline and external CSS pages on one website on my computer.

Do you have any example plugins/themes for me to try?
