• I was testing a few things on my blog tonight…all of a sudden, I get an “Internal 500” error. It seems that the server is up and running….
any ideas what this might be?

An Internal 500 error basically means that something happened on the server end. You can find details on what “something” is in your server error logs. We’ll need to know what that “something” is before anyone can help.

It was related to the .htaccess file. Which is strange since I didn’t do anything to it. The only thing I can think of, is that I started looking at the “Options” in the Admin Panel and started noticing some error messages.
Then, all of a sudden – 500 internal error messages.
Not sure what all happened. But, I deleted the .httacess file and everything went back to normal.

The .htaccess file was probably blocking the PHP script’s access to an important file.
