• Hi,
I’ve been suffering from intermittent 500 errors for about two weeks now.

I think I’ve narrowed it down to three things, but is there any way to know for certain? Any insight into which of these three it could be?

    1. This error message that is in my Go Daddy error log. There are tons and tons of messages that are identical or almost identical: Request exceeded the limit of 10 subrequest nesting levels due to probable configuration error. Use ‘LimitInternalRecursion’ to increase the limit if necessary. Use ‘LogLevel debug’ to get a backtrace., referer http://ericaobrien.com/blog/chocolate-holiday-trees-four-ways/

    2. This error message that is in my WordPress backend:
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/content/06/11499706/html/blog/wp-content/themes/cleansale/ocmx/theme-setup/customize.php on line 596
The message above repeats for each line 596-626

    3. Too much traffic for Go Daddy? I get about 1,500 hits per day (when my site is actually working). Someone said I should switch to Managed WordPress, but if the real problem 1 or 2 above, I don’t want to switch.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much!

  • Error #1: GoDaddy is well known as a low quality host; and this is a server error that is their issue, not yours. GoDaddy is also well known for intermittent 500 errors.

Error #2: This is an error with your theme. That’s a premium/paid theme, so you need to get help from the theme developers. Googling that error leads to links in the forums at Obox Themes.

Error #3: Find a better host. See Recommended WordPress Web Hosting
