Hello,
I have just checked your website and not found any 403 errors. Can you please share a screenshot showing this error?
I am not seeing it either, I would not have released the website if I was. So I have no screen shots because I cannot repeat the error. The client is seeing it on some but not all of his machines and on his customers machine.
Here are some of his messages:
I was at a customers house this morning and she was looking at my new
web site. While trying to access the kitchen slider she got a 403 –
Forbidden Error. I tried this afternoon and got the same error. The
same problem happens on the Closets, Baths, Gyms, Renovation Sketches.
I’m using windows 10 with internet explorer, I’m not sure what my customer was using at her house. The error message was identical on both machines.
Just tried my wifes laptop in her bedroom that has never accessed the website. Using internet explorer 11 it would access the kitchen slider but got the 403 error when trying to access the bath slider. I switched to the Google Chrome browser the results were the same, kitchen slider works, bath slider 403 error.
I just tried on my cell phone which is an Android Galaxy 8 and got the same identical warning message.
I am checking your website first time on my iPhone with safari browser as well chrome but not getting any issue.
Which hosting right now are your using?
My iPhone works fine too, as does my partners Android, Win 10 laptop, my Mac on FF and Chrome, iPad Air, iPad Pro …
Since it is only the slider on the page, not the whole page, a lot of questions seem irrelevant but the host is SiteGround, who also cannot see the bug.
There are also no errors being recorded on the error logs on the server.
But the client is still seeing an intermittent bug in the sliders on the two pages where there are more than one slider, all of which auto start (free version), and the sliders are within an accordion.
And another piece of information from the client:
“Yesterday when I was on a sales call i asked her to bring up the website and it had no problems using the chrome browser. The day before another customer using the chrome browser got 403 errors on the kitchen and bath sliders and the customer testimonials. ”
The “Client Testimonials” are on this page: http://kennison-kitchens.com/project-showcase/ and there is no accordion/tabs on that page, so the accordion seems to be ruled out as a factor. There are 2 sliders.
Hello @moira-ashleigh
Thanks for reaching here,
403 errors is a server error so please ask your hosting provider for the issue.
Slick slider is a very simple plugin and create with a custom post type and we have not added any extra code.
Please let us know if there is any other query.
Thanks and regards.
Ah but it looks like you fixed a 403 in the slider once before http://cgit.drupalcode.org/slick/tree/CHANGELOG.txt?id=1f99b02b33c2a9b2fbe9fcadd151002d7c994506
“Slick 7.x-2.0-dev, 2014-12-24 —————————– Fixed coder review complain with missing asterix on the block comment. Fixed Shiny admin theme issue clearing every form-item which should be displayed inline. Dropped workaround for “on demand” lazyLoad. The issue is no longer valid. However if the issue persists at your end, please try two possible fixes below. Related old info: Default lazyLoad “on demand” may have issue to generate newly created images, causing 403. Maybe related to itok: https://www.drupal.org/drupal-7.20-release-notes Possible fixes without compromising security: – https://www.drupal.org/project/imageinfo_cache, to have derivatives in place. – Use lazyLoad “progressive” instead. lazyLoad ondemand also has issue with dummy image excessive height, so use it with care. Dummy image is for valid HTML5.”
