Support » Plugin: MailChimp for WordPress » Intergrating MailChimp For WordPress with ContactForm7

  • Resolved Joeylion

The site currently has a MailChimp For WordPress and Contact Form 7 plugin installed. With the checkbox installed on the form. At the current stage the first name, last name and email are all imported to MailChimp when the form is submitted – this works fine.

However we also want to include a Birthday field which is transferred to MailChimp when they register. I have read the information about including extra fields and importing into MailChimp but the Birthday field (Day/Month) isn’t being added when submitted.

Here’s a screenshot of the list field tags:

The current website code, without Birthday field.

    <p>Name (required)<br />
        [text* name] </p>
    <p>Email (required)<br />
        [email* email] </p>
    <p>Telephone number (required)<br />
        [text* phone] </p>
    <p>Date (DD/MM/YYYY)<br />
    [text text-date]
    Time<br />
    [select desired-time "Select" "12:00" "12:30" "13:00" "13:30" "14:00" "16:30 (Saturday Only)" "17:00 (Saturday Only)" "17:30" "18:00" "18:30" "19:00" "19:30" "20:00" "20:30" "21:00" "21:30" "22:00" "22:30" "23:00" "23:30" ]
    <p>Number of people in party<br />
        [number no-people min:1 max:10] </p>
    <p>Special requirements<br />
        [textarea requirements] </p>
    <p>[mc4wp_checkbox "Subscribe to the Newsletter"]</p>
    <p>[submit "Submit enquiry"]</p>

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Joe

    Hello Joe,

To send any custom field to MailChimp, you will need to match the field name with the name in your MailChimp list and also prefix it with “mc4wp-“.

Please try changing the date field code with the one provided below:

    [text mc4wp-MMERGE3]

Let us know if this works.
