 * Hi, I’m trying to find out if it is possible to interface with The Event Calendar(
TEC) from a web application (a.k.a., app). We have an app running on the same
host as WordPress (WP) w/TEC plugin. This app is used to enter outdoor events
we offer to our members. (The app provides reporting and activity statistics
for our members and program sponsor – Osher Life Long Institute (OLLI at University
   of Nevada at Reno).)
 * I’d like to make calls from our app to TEC so that we can enter these outdoor
events directly. (Right now, we ask folks to enter the data into our app and
then go into WP/TEC and reenter them. Can you guess how well that goes?)
 * Please note: I’m not trying to write a WP plugin that interfaces with TEC. We
have a standalone web application and I’d like to make calls to TEC (something
like tribe_create_event()) to create events in WP/TEC.
 * From what I’ve been able to determine, the only interface with TEC is within
WP. I cannot find any examples where an “outside-of-WP” application makes calls
   into TEC to create events.
 * FYI – The app is written in PHP/HTML with a generous amount of CSS and JavaScript.
We have access to the WP and app databases on the same server. All of this work
is done by volunteers; thousands of hours and not a dime in return!
 * Any advice, pointers or references would be greatly appreciated.

 * Hi [@robcofer60](https://wordpress.org/support/users/robcofer60/) ,
 * Thank you for your inquiry. I would recommend exploring [The Events Calendar REST API](https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/introduction-to-the-events-calendar-rest-api/)
for what you’re trying to accomplish. The REST API allows you to query (as well
as create) events externally (outside of WordPress).
 * This is more of a custom solution, and I want to note here that as per our[ Support Policy](https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/),
we cannot provide full support for customization or third-party integrations.
