I have no idea what to do with these templates…
How would I go about making my blog look exactly how I want it to? Like, for example, say I want text saying “Hello.” on the right column above the links thing…how would I do that?
The templates cannot really be edited much in Dreamweaver, as they are pretty much all dynamic, and you can’t really position stuff and whatnot.
    Thanks.

I recommend you start with the new WordPress Codex at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and poke around there to get started. There is a lot of help there, and it is growing every day. If you have a more specific question, then we can help.

The “column” is usually a sidebar, depending upon the theme you’ve chosen. To add text to the sidebar, open the sidebar.php template file and go to where you want the text to appear and type it in. I do recommend that you check out the http://codex.wordpress.org/Styling_lists_with_CSS article that deals with a lot of the issues of the list in the sidebar to help you figure out what a lot of that means.

I only use a text editing software to do my work with WordPress, and avoid Dreamweaver and similar “DYI” and WYSIWYG programs as some can change the output to screw things up, but I’m not specifically familiar with Dreamweaver.
