    The registered users are not integrating to mail chimp possibly because the user is not providing first name and last name. Is there a way to use Mail Chimp to get these folks to opt-in and capture their user names? I’m not seeing a lot of use for the plugin because none of the subscribers are making it to mail chimp.

    The error showing is that the user has no first or last name but we don’t require that for registration either. We try to get it AFTER registration when we get them to opt in and complete their profile. I guess for this to work, registration must require first and last name.

    Hello,

    Based on the error, I would suggest first checking if the “FNAME” and “LNAME” are mandatory fields in your MailChimp list. If they are, please uncheck the mandatory field and test again.

    Sorry – I did not get the follow up email. Yes – the FNAME and LNAME were mandatory on the List and we deactivated that and it works fine. I actually don’t mind that we don’t get the name, it allows us to engage the customer to get the name and company and if they do not reply after 90 days we deactivate them as possible spam.
