  • Hello,
this is about an experimental application.

I am running a WordPress-powered website showing off pictures.

I have integrated the blog with an interactive gallery built with the DimensioneX Multiplayer Engine.

    here is the Picture Gallery

This demo actually serves as a showcase to make people check out how the pictures would look when hung on a wall and decide if to buy a printed version.

This model can be applied to virtually any WP blog showing pictures in the posts. You could have your own pics in the gallery just by publishing them in your blog.

In fact, all the pictures shown in the interactive gallery are actually taken from the WP blog.

    Here is how it works:

    1.
The gallery software (via DimensioneX) fetches the list of published pictures from the WP blog by means of a HttpFetch call – Web-service like.

    2.
This pictures list is produced by the WP blog thanks to a simple WordPress plugin made by me (source code is available).

    3. The gallery software builds the gallery and shows them off.
The environment is true multiplayer so multiple visitors may chat in it. If there were more rooms, they could go around in the house.

I thought this could be of interest for someone.

The source code for the gallery is available to public already.

I did not publish the WP plugin used to make the webservice response yet, it has some customisations specific for my blog but can be easily adapted to other blogs dealing with pictures.

If someone is interested is using this application, just let me know at
