Integrating Superfish menu with WordPress

  • Hello,

    I was looking at drop-down menus and came across the Superfish menu.

    I’ve tried to integrate it into my theme, but I have 2 problems.

    1) The Superfish functions (like showing animation) do not work.
    2) The drop-downs do not work in IE6. When you hover over the menu in IE6, nothing happens.

    Has anyone been able to integrate Superfish with WordPress successfully? If so, can you share your attempt or point out where I’m wrong with the code? I appreciate any advice!

    This is the code I have right now:

    In my header.php:

    <head>
    <!--SUPERFISH MENU-->
    <!--link to the CSS file-->
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="<?php echo get_stylesheet_directory_uri(); ?>/css/superfish.css" media="screen">

    <!--link to the JS files-->
    <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/js/hoverIntent.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/js/superfish.js"></script>

    <!--THIS SECTION DOES NOT WORK-->
    <script type="text/javascript">
    	jQuery(function(){
    		jQuery('ul.sf-menu').superfish({
                delay: 300, // one second delay on mouseout
                speed: 'fast', // faster animation speed
                autoArrows: true, // disable generation of arrow mark-up
                dropShadows: true, // disable drop shadows
    		});
    	});
    </script>
    </head>

    <body>

    <!--SUPERFISH MENU APPEARS BUT NO DROPDOWN IN IE6-->
    <div class="menu">
    <ul class="sf-menu">
    	 	<?php wp_list_pages('title_li=');

    	?>
    </ul>
    </div>
