Integrating a Blog INSIDE a Blog???

    Hi guys

I have a magazine styled theme. Now I really want people to read NEWS on my site in blog style format but I cannot sacrifice my current magazine style front page.

I want to put a link in my navigation that goes to a blog themed page where all the new posts are. The problem is, my blog has a membership plugin installed so I cannot simply link to a new wordpress installation.

Isn’t there a hack or plugin that will allow me to have a page with blog styled posts? Like I can maybe choose which posts will display on that page??

I really need this and would love an answer!

    Best regards,
    Brad

  • I would love to see a solution for this too! Have the same set-up, but I don’t have a membership plugin. I want my blog to have a membership plugin. How do I set up a blog inside a blog?

    Thanks,
    Tania

    Hi

    Investigate Query_posts

Put the posts you want on your News page in a category called News, and then using Query_posts, set up the News page so posts from that category are displayed on the News page. You can choose what appears on that page by adding and removing posts to/from the News category

You have probably sorted it by now but is an iFrame the way to go?
    For example:
    <IFRAME SRC = “http://www.normanfellows.com/mobi/fonds/series/2/” WIDTH=”220px” HEIGHT=”744px” FRAMEBORDER=”0″ –if “0” no border, otherwise “1” with border MARGINWIDTH =”0px” MARGINHEIGHT=”0px” SCROLLING=”auto” > Your browser does not support IFRAME </IFRAME>
