    Hi support,

This plugin seems to do everything we want. We’re running the latest version of WordPress in combination with Buddypress. Users register on the site and pay to compete in an event. Each and every registered user can accept donations to fundraise for charity. The registration fees and donations will all be collected on one single bankaccount, where the raised money is of course for the charity.

So far so good, however, in the Netherlands almost 80% of online transactions are done with iDeal, in comparison, only 4% is Paypal.

iDeal, altough being typically Dutch, had it’s own payment API, all banks in the Netherlands have one, but it’s also integrated with a lot of third party payment providers such as Buckaroo, Icepay, Wally, Skrill, etc. etc. However, none of these are out-of-the-box supported by Give.

Is there any way we can integrate iDeal or one of the payment providers that supports it?

    Regards,

We’ve had some interest in developing an iDeal payment gateway. But I believe that both Paymill and WePay and Dwolla are each supported in the Netherlands as well aren’t they? We’re also actively developing a Gateway for 2Checkout. Is there a reason why iDeal is much better than those gateways (besides the obvious 80% adoption which you already mentioned)?

Thanks for your feedback, it’s very beneficial.

    Thanks for your reply!

Unfortunatelly Paymill, WePay and Dwolla don’t support / offer iDeal payments. The same counts for 2Checkout. iDeal itself is not that fantastic, but it’s just fairly easy to use in comparison, simply because you don’t need any third party reseller. This counts for both senders and receivers. Everything is done by your own banking account without (in general) extra logins, monthly fees, money transfers, etc.

The reason why it’s so popular here is the ease of use, but also because (for whatever reason) creditcards are not very popular here. Paypal is neither. So it’s usually iDeal or Afterpay / Klarna.

There are (if correct) 76 parties supporting iDEAL and 23 of them have (som sort of) WordPress plugin: https://www.about-payments.com/knowledge-base/providers-search?alternatives=23

OK. Thanks for the feedback. We’re working on releasing quite a few new gateways soon. Thanks!

    Hey support,

We also use your plugin and we like it!
The only thing we mis is iDeal, it would be perfect if it is integrated in to the system.

Are you guys working on it? our doesn’t have any priority for you guys?

    Kind regards!!

Same here.. I can’t use it because iDeal is not supported..
