[Resolved] Integrate wordfence with askimet/wordpress comments

Our site allows user comments for articles. Askimet catches spam comments and puts them in the spam folder. I would like to prevent these IPs from being able to access our site but since we get hundreds of bogus IPs attempting to leave spam comments it would be too tedious to add by hand.

Can you integrate with askimets shortcodes, OR add integration with the comments spam folder to block all ips in the spam folder? I would think the button would just add them to the list of manually blocked IPS.

Besides the annoyance, our agreement with our hosting provider is on traffic to our site. These bogus bots are costing us $. Thank You!

Thanks Shawn, that’s the coolest feature suggestion I’ve seen all day. Added it to our system and we’ll get it implemented.

I am using a plugin called “Stop Spammer Registrations Plugin” by Keith P. Graham. It extends Askimet’s checks and it has reduced the spam that even makes it to the spam folder by at least 90% or more. If spam is costing you $ I would suggest you check it out. Visit the plugin site to see how it works.
