Integrate Facebook status with post loop (6 posts)

I'm sorry if this is heretical, but:

I'm doing a website for a client right now (@ http://www.djgumsoul.com) who has only had a facebook presence up until this point. He'd like to continue using his facebook page as his main interface with his customers... the new website is going to serve as an addendum to that— a place to host media, archive photos, etc. So I'm aiming for as deep integration with facebook as possible.

Is there a way somehow to display facebook statuses (from his fanpage) alongside posts? I don't mean in a sidebar (I've already gotten that working with Simple Facebook Connect), but actually within the main post loop.

Right now.. I could get a RSS feed for his status/page, and pipe it together with the RSS feed for the website, then display it on the homepage with feedburner or something-- but that's really ugly, I'd like to avoid it if possible.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Did you ever figure this one out? I'm trying to do something similar...

No.. as best I can tell, it's possible.. but we ended up going another direction.

It's possible to query FB for new media/statuses and then actually copy those into the local database as posts (or custom posts), which you could format differently based on their type.

I tested it some time ago but haven't gone further, but this plugin does lots of FB 'tricks'

And I know that you can display a WP page inside a FB 'page', unfortunately, right now I don't remmember the plugin name...
but was looking into this SWF e-commerce application to run inside FB, and there are some interesting parts in their documentation. This is the relevant FB link: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/guides/canvas/#tabs

@sekatsim, i arrived in this this thread, because in another one you say

I've got a plugin on my site that allows the user to set their password at time of registration.

    - could you tell me which plugin is it?... i'm searching a lot about this issue and have not found yet a definitive solution (i'm testing various plugins...)

I don't remember now which site I was referring to (I have hundreds), but you could give this a try: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-password-register/
