# Intall Question

 * I am installing wordpress on my server and when I install everything works great,
   but I noticed the web address is dofferent. Instead of the traditional [http://www.website.com](http://www.website.com),
   I get [http://website.com](http://website.com). I do not see the www when I go
   to the home page. Does this matter to search enigines? How do I change it so 
   the www shows up in the address bar?

 * It will use whatever you put into the URL values on your admin > Settings > General
   admin subpanel.
 * www is obsolete. You don’t need it. But if you insist, you can keep it. The only
   important thing is to be consistent: always use one or the other. Never both!
