instructions on having most recent posting appear

how do you make the most current month appear on the site. for example, i’m posting news items on our ion sports business site (sportsbusiness.ions.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2F), but when you go to page, the posted items from september 2007 are showing up.

need to update it and keep it updated.
