# Instructables-like website

 * Hi !
 * I am creating a website comparable to Instructables.com, where users can create
   an account and upload tutorials about their projects.
    However, I am having trouble
   creating a good page for them to create projects. Do you guys have any idea on
   how to do this ? You can look at this page [http://www.instructables.com/editInstructable/](http://www.instructables.com/editInstructable/)
   and maybe someone knows how to create a similar page using WP and maybe plugins
   or custom code.
 * Right now I’m using Formidable Pro but I’m not sure it’s the right tool.

 * you may need to create a custom post-type for that, it sounds like it needs to
   be something that people can access from their dashboard to update, and maybe
   be redirected to on signup.
 * it also sounds like it will need a lot of custom fields to cover things like 
   project title, date, equipment needed, time required and others that i’ve not
   thought of cos it’s not my project!
 * toolset’s types plugin can create the custom post type and the custom fields 
   but you’ll need to create a page and a few other template files with code to 
   output the custom fields content on the front end. not an easy make but would
   be pretty awesome.

   not sure if it does what you’re after but it might be in the right area 😀
