• I updated the website last May, and today just updated 4.6.1.
Tried to install woocommerce widget, but I see this page only.

    Installing Plugin: WooCommerce 2.6.7
    Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/woocommerce.2.6.7.zip…
    Unpacking the package…
    Installing the plugin…
    Destination folder already exists. /home/content/87/9151487/html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/
    Plugin install failed.

    What should I do?

  • You should go through FTP to find that folder and delete it – most likely an old installation that didn’t get properly removed.

Once deleted you should be able to install the plug-in again.

I am just a helper for updating a couple of things for my friend website.
And she use godaddy service to manage her website.

It will be grateful if anyone can show me the direction.
    Thank you deeply.

Go to Dashboard > Plugins. Can you see WooCommerce in the list of plugins? If so it may have an “update” link alongside. If so, no need to install it, it is already installed. Just update it. Please say what you see.

For a guide on how to manually disable (and delete) a plugin using FTP, have a look at the following guide: https://www.webhostinghero.com/manually-disable-wordpress-plugins/
