# Instillation

 * Hey Im having trouble installing wordpress and I’m not quite sure what to do.
 * I unzipped the wordpress file and in mySQL I created a database called wordpress,
   I then created a new user and a password. I updated the wp-config.php file with
   the new database, username, and password. But when i try to run [http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php](http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php)
   i get an error
 * Error establishing a database connection
    This either means that the username
   and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t 
   contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database
   server is down.
 * can someone guide me in the right direction from here.
