Instantly Load Videos

    Trying to find a solution or understand what exactly is needed for one.

    Curiously how to get self-hosted video’s (videos directly uploaded to my media library) to actually play instantly. I’ve found even using the autoplay feature there is still a delay while the video loads for end users before it actually plays. I’ve seen plenty of websites where that isn’t an issue and the self-hosted video plays automatically. Is this a hosting thing a coding thing what?

    Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    videos play when enough of the file is buffered to allow it to play without too many stops and pauses.

    It is a hosting issue. It happens because the video files are loading to slowly to be playes straight away. The best solution for this is to use a good CDN (Content Delivery netowrk) to host your video files, and that way you’ll have the best chance of having them play as soon as possible. Just remember that no matter what you do there’s no guarantees, just things that you can do to try and make it better.
