    Hello everybody.

I am trying to install wordpress and I encounter the following problem. when I try to access the http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/install.php it shows a blank page. Mysql settings are OK and have been checked more than twice. My host provider told me it could be an issue with the Index file, but I already installed wordpress some time ago and didn't have that issue.

I don't know how to continue. Thank you for your time.
    Greetings from Spain.

Try re-uploading all files & folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thank you for your quick response!
It is already a fresh download of the latest version of wordpress. I have tried with earlier versions and I still have the same problem.

Try another fresh download. You may have some corrupt files.

Tried with english version and spanish one again. I encounter the same problem. Either creating the wp-config.php manually and with the installer, when i try to access the install.php I get the same blank page.

Have you carried out a successful install before on this server?

Of course esmi. it's been more than a year since I installed wordpress. I encountered problems just this week with some plugins. I backed up everything and decided to start a new clean installation but I cannot succeed.

Do you have access to the server error logs? There might be something in there that could help determine the problem.

this is the last error the server error log shows to me:

[Fri Dec 31 11:19:56 2010] [error] [client 83.58.14.153] File does not exist: /home/sarriko/public_html/404.shtml

That's not going to affect anything directly but does suggest that another file is MIA (missing in action). I assume you're uploading via FTP, yes? Are you absolutely sure that your FTP client is preserving the file/folder structure when you upload?

Thank you for your time, the problem is solved.

It was an internal error of my host provider. The memory allocations settings of an X service which I didn't understood what was it purpose, were too low. after increasing this level I have been able to reinstall it.

Again, thank you for your time and responses. Keep on with the work, because it is worth valuable.
