# install.php does nothing

    I can’t get past the [http://www.mydomain.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php](http://www.mydomain.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php)
   page?
 * I have modified the config file to work with my MySQL database etc. In Firefox
   it asks me if I want to download the install.php file (no option to open it in
   Firefox), in Safari it comes back with this error: Safari can’t open the page“
   http://www.mydomain.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php”. The error was: “lost network
   connection” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005).
 * It would appear that my database setup is correct, I have checked to see if I
   needed to change the ‘localhost’ to something else but I don’t need to.
 * I have searched the forum and so far only come close to solving this problem.
   Any ideas as this seems to be a popular problem with different solutions?

 * I could be wrong, but it _sounds_ like your Internet connection keeps cutting
   out. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

 * ..and if Firefox is asking you to download the PHP file, ratehr than open it,
   it could also be a server issue. Maybe your host doesn’t have PHP set up correctly,
   or something along those lines. Sounds like either an ISP or hosting issue.

 * My ISP is NOW Broadband in Hong Kong. It can’t be that as my internet is on 24/
   7 and works fine with all other things.
 * My webserver (ipowerweb) has these installed acording to my control panel (cpanel
   5)
 * PHP Version 4.4.2
    Mysql Version 4.0.22-standard
 * any light on the issue?

 * I have also done a ‘test.php’ on my server and it works fine!

 * actually yes. I had a discussion about this very thing the other day (last week,
   I think?) But I can’t find it. If you search the forums, though, you’ll come 
   up with a ton of solutions for “opening PHP files”.
 * I can’t remember what the solution was (like I said, I can’t find the exact conversation),
   but it *was* some server setting. Something to do with filesizes. If I find the
   conversation, I’ll pass it along.

 * that was it, i had tried to upgrade the PHP memory myself but it didn’t work.
   My host has upped it to 64mb and i now have a blog to work on, cheers for the
   support!
