 * Hi. Trying to install WP on a remote host. I successfully edited wp-config-sample.
   php, saving it as wp-config.php. Then I uploaded all the wp files using ws_ftp
   to the server (I can see them there). When I type the URL to my site and the
   install file into IE ([http://www.spirithealingmakeyourlifework.com/wp-admin/install.php](http://www.spirithealingmakeyourlifework.com/wp-admin/install.php)),
   I get this error message:
    Not Found The requested URL /wp-admin/install.php
   was not found on this server.
 * Can you help?
 * Thanks,
    Peggy

 * You didn’t upload the WP files and directories to the right place:
    [http://www.spirithealingmakeyourlifework.com/](http://www.spirithealingmakeyourlifework.com/)
   There is nothing there…
 * Everything that is meant to appear for the “public” should be in a folder public_html
   or htdocs or www or something similar… whatever is the name of the _root folder_
   on your webserver. If not sure, ask your host or read their documentation.

 * Well, moshu,thanks for replying, truly, but all the WP files are indeed in the
   public_html folder. I can see them there in all their glory using ws_ftp. Plus,
   that is the root folder–I asked them.
 * Other ideas appreciated!

 * Now they are there… and your blog is shining. When I’ve checked – the root directory
   was empty, except a html file.
    Glad you figured it out.
