 * Hello, good morning. I’ve installed Word Press and I go to readme.html. The famous
   5 Minute Install directs me to /wp-admin/install.php which doesn’t exist. What
   am I missing?

 * if it doesn’t exist then you didn’t get all of the files uploaded

 * I must be missing something. I did a GoDaddy automated installation. The install.
   php is gone. I downloaded it from here and moved it over. When I broswed to it,
   it said WP was already installed.
 * Okay, fine. So I go to the log-in page: wp-login.php. I logged in with the user/
   password I created. Now it redirects me to /wp-admin/default.php.
 * Which doesn’t exist.
 * Thanks for your help, by the way.

 * Okay, I’ve reinstalled and got a little further.
 * On my first prompt to log-in (at the end of the installation) I do so. I log
   in with ‘admin’ and my admin password. It then sends me to:
    /wp-admin/default.
   php
 * Which doesn’t exist! Where should it be sending me after logging in?
 * Thanks.

 * it should send you to
    [http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/index.php](http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/index.php)
   assuming you installed in the root try removing the default.php from the browser
   bar and insert index.php instead

 * Thanks. If I log in and then replace default.php with index.php as you suggest,
   I get in to the admin area.
 * However, now if I click the “Visit Site” link at the top of the admin page, it
   takes me to /blog/default.php (doesn’t exist). If I type /blog/index.php it just
   redirects me back to /blog/default.php.
 * I’m hosting on GoDaddy if that matters.
