Installing WordPress to a k12.ca.us domain – Problems?

  • Hello everyone!, new to using WordPress and tried Googling my question without much success.

I’m currently in the process of updating the website of a school which is outdated to say the least. Like many school websites, it has a k12.ca.us domain and I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on any potential issues which may come from installing WordPress onto this type of domain, if any?.

Again, I’m rather new to this whole thing but I imagine so long as the MySql database and everything else is handled properly, it shouldn’t be an issue, right?.

Any insight or assistance would be appreciated, thank you 🙂

As long as the DNS name for the server you are installing WordPress on is resolvable, then you shouldn’t have any problems at all.

Yep. Check out the WordPress requirements page. As long as you meet the minimum version numbers, you should be fine.

Insight? Don’t be afraid to make mistakes and have fun. 😉
