# Installing WordPress Before Gettign Webhost

 * I downloaded WordPress from the homepage of this site (wordpress.org), but I 
   don’t have a web host yet. I can’t find the downloaded information on my computer.
   I have a website but I plan to relaunch it as a WordPress blog but I will not
   do so until I am no longer with the company from which I am purchasing the websites.
   The reason I downloaded WordPress to my computer was to begin transfer of my 
   articles to WordPress so that I could save time since there will be much to do.
   I’m unfamiliar with WordPress, it is far different than the websites that I am
   purchasing. Can I even prepare transfer of my articles before I even launch WordPress?
   And so I need a web host before I can even get started?

 * You’ll need some kind of hosting software, but it doesn’t necessarily have to
   be online – you could set up a local web server and database server on your computer.
 * Alternatively if your existing web sites are in another content management system,
   you could consider exporting their entries, for later importing into WP.
