I’ve installed WordPress 6.1 on an older MacPro with OS 10.11.6 El Capitan. That’s as far as apple will let me go. It has MAMP server with php 7.4.2 and mysql 5.7.26. WordPress installed and seems to be working ok . This computer also has older browsers Firefox 78.15 and Chrome 103.0.5. Everything seems to be working but I’m wondering if I’m going to run into problems with themes and plugins? Anyone have any experience developing with a similar setup?

will suffice, even fo any modern WP version,

same for browsers, you wouldnt encounter any problems with compatability doing local development on that machine.

However its not recommended to use old stuff to browse the web (browsers) and open your site to the world, there are known vulnerabilities in old software that can be exploited

I was struggling to determine if the errors I was getting were because of my setup or my brain? Now I’m pretty sure they’re all “mine” (brain)!

    Thanks for you’re help
