 * Activating the plugin is only one step. You still have to position the widget
   in the presentation menu.

 * Is that difficult to do?

 * No. You go to the Presentation Menu, select the Widgets, then drag and drop the
widget where you want to be on your sidebar. This is rather fundamental to the
concept of widgets. Have you not put any widgets on your sidebar already?
 * More to the point, have you installed the main [Widgets plugin from automattic.com](http://automattic.com/code/widgets/)
itself? Are you using a [widget compatible theme](http://widgets.wordpress.com/tag/themes/)?
These are things you need to do before you can use widgets.

 * On a similar note, what would anyone here recommmend for someone who just signed
up for WordPress, using the latest version, but still I have no Plugin Panel
   whatsoever! 😮

 * I downloaded the Widgets Plugin from Automattic and activated it in my admin
panel. So far, so good. But when I go to the Presentation Menu, I do not see
any widget button or options. Nothing. I am using the Default presentation theme.
Can you tell what i’m doing wrong
