# Installing Themes

 * Please forgive me for this but I am completely new to WordPress. I have tried
   to search for keywords or selected different options in the dialogue box but 
   get **“An unknown error occured”** reply. Can anyone suggest whats going on?

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
