Installing themes

    Hello!

    I’ve JUST created my wordpress website and am trying to instal my elegant theme.

    I’m in Appearances -> Themes -> Add new (in the control panel-ly bit of wordpress) and I’m trying to upload my theme .zip file. When I click on the file (I’m using a mac, don’t know if that helps) it then, rather than selecting the WHOLE file for installation, wants me to further select ONE item WITHIN the whole folder.

    Does anyone have any idea of how I can get it to select the whole folder, or should I systematically go through and just instal each item within the whole one separately?

    Thank you so much. I’m about ready to stab a fork in my eye!

    Try the alternate way, unzip your theme.zip and paste it under the wp-content -> themes -> ‘your theme’ , then go to appearance activate ‘your theme’
