  • How do you upload a wp template theme into a sub domain.
Every time I do it, I get errors and have to resort to the old default template to get the site back.

  • What exactly do you mean by “sub domain?” Themes will only work if they are in /wp-content/themes/

The wp installation is not in the main root folder of http://www.bookpeg.com but I installed it in a sub-domain called http://pietrelcina.bookpeg.com (or http://www.bookpeg.com/pietrelcina)

The site works when I use the classic theme but when I ‘activate’ the theme that I uploaded to the themes folder (it shows in the list of themes in the control panel for wordpress) it gives me a stange error which says
Warning: sprintf() [function.sprintf]: Too few arguments in /home/bookpegs/public_html/pietrelcina/wp-content/themes/thesis_16b2/lib/admin/post_options.php on line 234

    That’s it.

    OK folks,
I found out what was wrong.
I had to log in via ftp and do the following in the folder ‘themes’ where I had installed the new template.

    # Set the permissions of your new layout.css file to 666.
    # Make sure your /cache folder’s permissions are set to 775.

Did it – and it worked!

    Bye
