# Installing plugins

 * When using the install plugins feature on my wordpress.org dashboard, when I 
   try to Search Plugins for collapse-o-matic, I get this message:
 * > An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or 
   > this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the
   > support forums.
 * When I try to upload a zip file, I get this message:
 * > Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/01. Is its parent directory
   > writable by the server?
 * I am working in an environment where I need to sign-in to the FTP code. What 
   do I need to do to install a plugin through the WordPress system?
