I just recently discovered WordPress (what a wonderful creation; thanks to all of you up front). In scouring the plugins database to see the additional capabilites of the system I came across one that supposedly integrates PHPWebGallery with WordPress. What I want to know is if I can install PHPWebGallery in the same database with my WordPress installation without corrupting WordPress? Has anyone ever tried this?
What I have currently in playing with my test site is a wp_ installation of wordpress and a baby_ installation of wordpress for my two WP blogs. These share common user tables due to a hack I found here (thanks again). In looking at the PHPWebGallery installation instructions it seems as if there should be no conflict since their tables will require a different prefix. BUT, I am no SQL expert and barely a novice. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
The idea is to save database space, as in number of dbs not megabytes, since I have a limited number for my account. I have wordpress, phpBB2, and open source ecommerce software running in separate dbs right now and I’d like to limit how many more I create. Since my intention is to use WP and PWG together I thought running them out of the same db would help.
Thanks in advance for your help!
