Okay so I have been using the Mutli Site feature and its ok, However.
I want to do things the old way and install fresh new wordpress's on my site. (Completely new install i.e. download wordpress and drag in to my ftp)

I do on my multi site use the subsite over righting the www example example.mysite.com.

Is there anyway to completely install a new wordpress where it will over right the www?
What location would I have to put the wordpress folder in in my ftp?

So I want to disable Multisite but still have another site like example.mysite.com.

  2. If you want multisite to run in your main www domain, then you have to install it in your HTML root. No other option exists today.

SO where would the file go?

    --"Original wordpress content"

    in html?

  4. Yes, in HTML.

Well I put the file in there but the url reads http://www.mysite.com/example/
    Example being the new wordpress
I would like it to replace www not after .com like a site page.

  6. Did you put it in a folder called example?

Move ALL the folders and files from the example folder and put those in HTML

    So you have

and so on and so forth.

I already have my original wordpress in html.
and Example is just a test name the actual folder is called Blog which I was hoping to create the link blog.myspace.com with that.

  8. Two options.

    1. Set up a new subdomain with your web host and install wordpress there.
    2. Create a multisite network. http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

But you're talking like you DONT want a multisite, so ... Its confusing.

lol, yeah that may have been confusing on my part.
    I don't want Multisite.
When Multi site is enabled the registration is all messed up.
I just want to upload new wordpress's to each of my new domains I want to have but I would like the domains to be example.mysite.com instead of mysite.com/example

  10. Okay then. Make a manual subdomain, and install WordPress into that subdomain. Your host should have directions on how to make subdomains.

And that means this is not a MultiSite question, and just a generic "How do I make a subdomain and install wordpress into it." one :)
