  • Dear Folks,

    I’ve been configuring a brand new WP site on BlueHost. With the help of on-line guides (http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-install-and-setup-wordpress-multisite-network/), I’ve almost got it working.

    Almost, but not quite.

    I have set up my domain to handle wildcards. I’ve got to the point where I have the multi-site menus. I can create a new site.

    What I can’t do is select dashboard for my second site. If I do, I get the following error:

    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@foo.org to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    I went to check the errors under cpanel. There is only one error, and it has the wrong timestamp. Recreating this error condition does not add more entries to the error log that I can see.

    Here is the redacted error message:

    Side note to @foonoodle I’ve archive your topic about a topic, meaning it’s removed. You need to set your expectations appropriately. Posting in Requests and Feedback about how this forum is dead (it’s not) is really going too far.

    These are volunteer support forums. If you need more than 4 hours later support please consider hiring someone via https://jobs.wordpress.net/ or https://jetpack.pro/ instead.

    I doubt you’ll get that sort of response in the evening but that’s your option if you want.

    I assure you my issue was not that there was no reply in the evening. It’s that when I last looked none of the posts for the last week had any answers. I don’t mind waiting a week, if that’s how long it takes. It depresses me that you found my post so offensive. It wasn’t my intent.
