• Tried to post on the official site but looks like I have to pay to post there. Hopefully someone here can help.

I have a site already up and running, but I want to install WooCommerce in a folder (e.g. http://www.mysite.com/shop). Is there an easy way to do this?

Do I have to install an entire second instance of WP in that folder and then install WooCommerce in it? is there a way to just install WooCommerce into a folder without having a second full WP running? Just looking for any advice.

    Thanks.

  • If you add WooCommerce to an existing site, then by default the shop page will be domain.com/shop

If you want a totally new WordPress install ( with WooCommerce ) in a subdirectory of “shop” then install WordPress there, add WooCommerce, etc.

If I install it on an existing site, then the store has to share the same theme with the rest of the site, right? So if I want the store to look different, then I’m assuming I’d be better off with a separate install.
