Installing Brand New Website

    I already have a couple of websites with old WP templates and these need to continue functioning whilst I build some new ones.

    So it is essential that I keep everything separate, (including passwords, Wordfence security etc, and not risk upsetting what is already a delicate old template that I’m using for the existing sites).

    Do I need to do a fresh install of WP or do I just install a new theme.

    If I did a new install, would this overwrite my existing WP, and/or would it jeapordise my existing sites?

    I want to have any new images that I use on my site (there will be a lot), separate from the old sites, and so I don’t want existing uploaded images popping up in the media library.

    It’s been 7 years since I’ve done all this, so my memory is a bit rusty.

    Yes

    if you want to keep everything separate and don’t want to overwrite existing website then start from a fresh install

    Am doing it now. Many hours of tearing my hair out ahead… ha.
