# installing any plugin causing errors

 * Hey,
 * I recently moved a large wordpress blog from one server to another. The theme,
   blog posts and most of the content seem to have transferred over fine.
 * Now i’m trying to get the plugins setup and i’m getting various errors everytime
   i try to install a plugin. I actually tried to just copy use the old plugins 
   folder and it basically crashes my website… so i’ve been downloading one plugin
   at a time. I haven’t caused errors on the website yet, probably because wordpress
   is detecting errors before the plugins are actually active.
 * Why would i be getting re-accuring plugin errors?
 * 2 examples-
    jQuery Colorbox – the error:
 * Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in blog/wp-content/plugins/
   jquery-colorbox/jquery-colorbox.php on line 592
 * wp-Cache – the error:
 * advanced-cache.php link does not exist
    Create it by executing: ln -s …extended
   url…/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php …extended url…/blog/
   wp-content/advanced-cache.php in your server

 * Did You changed Your domain name or server only?
    If you changed only server,
   verify that all files ARE UPLOADED well, and put file permissions for cache folders
   to writable. If You changed Your domain name, try to export Your new database
   to a file, and search for old domain name, to be sure that there is no such string.
   All should be replaced with new domain name.
