    I’ve got a client who has a website built in WordPress, and I’ve downloaded all the files from their server onto my computer. However, I’m unsure how to install it.

    The server is Linux, and I’m using Windows 7. I just need to install it so I can understand how to use it and make modifications, without messing up their existing website.

    Where do I start?

    I have the same question. I tried to follow the given instructions, but my content did not transfer over. I got my Word Press shell working, but all my content and the theme I built with ultimatum theme builder did not carry over. I know how to export the content from one Word Press site and import to another, but how do I get my theme templates to carry over with everything else? Thanks everyone.

    @sburak,
    As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. Posting in an existing topic prevents from being able to track issues by topic. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Also, It’s easier for volunteers to help you if you have your own topic 🙂
