# Installing an escape button

 * I am creating a wordpress.org site for a Domestic Violence body and they would
   like to have a message showing on every page that alerts visitors that if they
   are in danger they can press an “escape” button and go to an innocuous site like
   google.com.
 * So there needs to be facility to put some text and a button together that shows
   on every page.

    Would you be able to be a bit more specific? What kind of widget?
   A text widget? And how do you insert a link into it?

 * Actually this is what I needed. It is a plug in called [WP Utility Short Codes by Pippin](http://pippinspages.com/freebies/wp-utility-short-codes-plugin-free/)
 * It lets me do exactly what I want with a box and a button.

 * I’ve now found the Special Text Box plug-in and that is even better although 
   I am having formatting problems with the rest of my sidebar now.
