    Hi,

    I’ve tried to manually install an additional language to wp so that I can see wp wordings such as ‘recent posts’ and ‘archives’ in my local language.
    From what I’ve read, all I have to do is the following:
    1. Download the language version.
    2. Copy the .mo and .po files to the following location –
    ..\www\wordpress\wp-content\languages
    3. Configure the wp-config.php file (\www\wordpress\) to something like this : define(‘WPLANG’, “he-IL”);

    And that should do it.
    this is not working for me, what am I doing work or maybe i miss understood what these steps would produce for me.

    Thank you

    Are you trying to change the language in the WordPress back end or are you trying to have a choice of languages on the front end of your site?

    Hi Esmi,

    Thanks for the reply. I’m trying to change the front-end of the site, i.e changing the standard words that are built into WP such as ‘Recent Posts’, ‘Archive’, ‘Categories’ etc.
    I would not mind however, to know how to change the back-end (administrator panel) of WP as well.

    Thanks
