I just want to change the default theme???

Usually i can search but I have no options available to me it would seem.

Can anyone help please

Thank for your response.

I am aware of how to instal a new them when the ‘add new button is there. But…

on my site there is no ‘add new’ button anywhere i can see

It may be a problem with your account on your WordPress installation or a plugin is interfering with that Add New being missing.

Can you see any other themes on your themes page via the dashboard?

no there are no other themes.

Are you in a multisite environment?

If so; you can only add new themes from the network admin area.
