  • Where did you install WordPress?

I installed it into the main directory.

Your site is actually at http://216.172.184.111/~bryan/
This is the url you need to use. See Changing_The_Site_URL for details of how to change the urls correctly.

I get this error message when I try to auto update to the latest version of WordPress:

Warning: copy(/homepages/40/d132931080/htdocs/app132931102/wp-admin/includes/update-core.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /homepages/40/d132931080/htdocs/app132931102/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 200
    Could not copy files.
    Installation Failed

What is going on? All plugins turned off, backed up files

I apologize, it was not clear to me I was posting on another thread – new to looking for help

Esmi After you said something about the site address I did some checking and the nameservers were not set up to forward correctly from where the domain is to where the site is actually hosted.. Thank you for your assistance, Sometimes the simple answers we forget to check.

    Glad I could help 🙂
