Installed…But front page is blank

Hello, Very good evening to you all. I have been instructed to setup a blog site on my old ReadyNAS. Having followed the instruction provided I installed WordPress.

However what I cannot fathom is that the sample frontsheet [which I assume is in effect a template] is infact just totally blank. Even when I try and add a new page this does not appear [however given the frontsheet is blank accessing the new page would be most difficult – I guess].

But all attempt to modify/delete etc.. have failed, hence the post

Any help resulting in a frontsheet resembling the template would be most appreciated.
