  • It was complicated enough trying to figure out how to install WordPress 3.0. I finally did on Godaddy where the site is hosted, it was successful and I got an email with a link to start using it. I click the link and get my homepage only saying “
    Problem?

Looks like you have a problem here sir/madam. You sure you have the right place? Maybe you got a little lost? Maybe you’re looking for something you’re not supposed to find? Either way, just go search for it, it can’t hurt.”

What’s the problem here? I cannot figure out what it is I need to do. And I only installed it so I can get plugins working and nothing seems easy to figure out. If someone can please help me that would be great. I just want to use the application and install plugins. Thank you.

Try deleting or renaming any index.html file that is in your WordPress folder.

Thanks for the reply. What WordPress folder? Godaddy installed the app without me doing anything, but the link they sent me doesn’t work. Where is this folder and how do I access it?

Daniellew4: You should install WordPress yourself, not using their automated installer. We don’t know how their installer works or what it does. It’s not part of WordPress and so we can’t support it.

Installing WordPress is something you do yourself, via FTP.
