installed the latest update v3.2 and my apps no longer work
-
hi,
i tried to update to the latest version (v3.2) and my apps stopped working. is there something i need to do after the update?
thanks, jeremy

No, there shouldn’t be anything to do. From what version did you update? How do they not work?
hi,
my current version of the plugin is v3.1.0 and i was trying to update to v3.2
this is my dev box and this the page (working): https://dev-thx-www-01.pantheonsite.io/thx-media-player
after i install the update, the media player is gone.
thanks!
Do you use create-react-app or a custom solution to build your app? Or do you more than one app added to this page?
custom solution (i inherited) and just one app on that page. i have a couple of other pages with similar apps (playing different songs) as well. all i did was update the plugin and the apps on the pages stopped working. thanks!
hi, is there anything i should try or be looking into? thanks!
Sorry, for coming back to you that late.
I looked into the code, to see what changed. Do you have a
package.json
file in your deployed React app?
Could you post a screenshot of the ReactPress admin? The only thing that changed is the way we the plugin determines what kind of React app it is dealing with. CRA, Vite, etc.hi, no worries. no, it has an asset-manifest.json and a manifest.json.
yes, see screenshot below. thanks!

hi, just checking to see if you have any idea on what might be happening. thanks!
@turbojae Sorry, I meant a screenshot from the ReactPress admin page.
I am trying to figure out, if ReactPress still sees your app as a create-react-app.were you able to view the image i linked? (i can’t seem to upload an image.) i thought it was a screenshot of reactpress admin page. this is the url: /admin.php?page=reactpress
how about this?
That is what I see:
Error 1011Ray ID: 7d01eabe19fa382e • 2023-05-31 20:20:20 UTC
Access denied
What happened?
The owner of this website (www.thx.com) does not allow hotlinking to that resource (/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/05-31-reactpress-admin-thx-media-player-screenshot.jpg).
hi, i attached the images to the email reply i sent. did that work, are you able to see the images?
if not, rather than clicking on the link which gives you the error, please try copying and pasting it into a browser tab. that seemed to work for me vs clicking the link which gives me the same error you see.
if not, i’ll create a temp page with the images on them. thanks!
were you able to view the screenshots in the email reply? thanks!
in case you were not able to see the images in my email reply. here’s a page where i put the screen shot.
You can’t send attachments as far as I know.
But the last link worked. The screenshot shows the last version of ReactPress, if I am not mistaken. I meant a screenshot of the new version.
Alternatively, you could send me your build app and I would try to debug it. If that works for you. You can find my mail address on my homepage.
