    I installed the free version and it works great. At the top of the screen, it says “$9.95 BUY NOW” for the silver pro version. I have a screen shot if you want to see it. But I don’t see a way to attach it here.

    The problem: clicking that BUY NOW button takes me to a page that asks me to subscribe to silver for $19.95.

    I suppose that’s a typo, but I suggest you fix it!

    I also purchased at $19.95 even though it said 9.95 for a lifetime licence. I now see a annual price what is up with that?

    @jaywebdude, let me clarify the things for you. On the checkout page you will see two fees:

    One is a startup fee for WordPress Backup Guard plugin, which is paid only once. It is like subscription fee which is charged once and is for a lifetime. The price of this fee varies depending on the plan you choose (Silver, Gold or Platinum).

    Another one is a plugin yearly updates fee. Let me describe in more details. If for example you buy the platinum version of the plugin you will pay $32.00 as a startup fee and $47.95 for plugin annual updates. This option (annual updates) is active by default, that means every year upon expiration of the annual license the plugin will charge $47.95 to allow you to get another year’s updates. You won’t pay startup fee again, you will pay only for the updates. Of course you can cancel or stop annual updates from your personal dashboard whenever you want to. In this case you still will be able to use the BackupGuard plugin after a year, but you will not receive the plugin updates afterwards.
