    Hello again,

    I’ve some understanding questions.

I live in the center of Berlin but the internet connection of Telekom is crap (Germany ranks at position 25 in the ranking list of the quality of internet worldwide)

Last night, my internet was gone (once again).

I had installed my site and visited all posts and pages.

So they should be in my cache, right?

But when I called the site, the splash screen was displayed for quite some time, before the index faded in.

Do I have a wrong understanding?

What exactly does the plugin do when posts/pages are visited?

Thanks again for helping me 👍

    Greetings,
    Rob

  • Hi Rob,

I just checked your website upon my device and noticed it’s loading quickly. Can you please clear the browsing data and cache before testing again?

Yes, those page will be available to view while offline via caching.

But when I called the site, the splash screen was displayed for quite some time, before the index faded in.

I checked your website upon my 2 device’s and cannot notice any kind of issue which you mentioned. Can you try again after clearing the browsing data? Also can you please let me know the internet speed at your location?

    Hi Jose,

first of all, thanks for your feedback ad the time you’ve spent to explore my site!

Like I wrote in my question, internet is bad in Berlin. So maybe it’s just an issue with Telekom 🙂

But it’s great to hear, that other users don’t experience an issue.

So I just leave it like it is.

Once again, thanks for <or kind help.

    Best regards,
    Rob

    Helllo everyone,

I’ve noticed, that my cache is empty after visiting the site with chrome and alsothe PWA.

I have some screenshots here. One of the app informations on my smartphone and one of the Lighthouse report.

    App Information

Lighthouse report (opens a new tab)

And, as always, I’ll be very grateful for any information.

    Best regards,
    Rob

Happy to see you again @maafwob,

Upon PWA the device cache will be shown as empty as that’s the expected behavior for all the PWA’s.

@josevarghese what would I be without you guys here 😊

Thanks so much again for your great help!

    It is really much appreciated.

What’s the reason for this behaviour?

    Regards,
    Rob

As PWA is technology which works over the browsers, the cache will only be stored upon the browser from which you added the PWA.
