• I am new to this, so I apologize ahead of time. I am attempting to start a blog. I have my domain and I have installed WordPress. The email that I received from GoDaddy confirming the installation of WordPress sends me to the wp-admin attached to my domain, but only the InstantPage welcome comes up. Nothing related to WordPress at all. Does InstantPage have to be removed first? Or is there something else I am missing?

    Thank you,
    Paul

  • wow! I think this is a common problem.
Even I am facing the same problem, I installed wordpress via godaddy. It is intalled but when I click on login link it takes me to wp-admin and nothing thereafter. I am not able to figure out what next.
    Someone please help.

Hey PDenby, I am facing the same problem. When I contacted godaddy support they sent this reply :

your domain name is still pointed to the started page. You will need to locate the IP address of the hosting account and then modify the A record on the domain.

To Locate Your Hosting IP Address

Log in to your Account Manager.
Click Web Hosting under your Products menu.
Next to the hosting account you want to use, click the Launch button.

Your IP address displays in the IP Address field in the Server Details column.

To modify the A-Record for a domain:

    1. Select Domains from the Products menu.
    2. Click Launch
    3. Click the domain name link then Launch the DNS Manager on the next page
    4. Under the A (Host) section, click the record with @ as the host name and make the change.
    5. Click Save Zone File

NOTE: Changes to the settings of a domain can take up to 48 hours to become effective because of the number of networks involved, and because these networks are controlled by several different agencies. This delay applies to all domains with any Registrar. Please allow for this delay when planning web sites or configuring a domain to work with your services.

I have no idea if my problem is resolved, its wait n watch now. You can try it as well.

I’ve installed wordpress 24 hours ago via Hostgator but I can’t see my site at all?
    Please help.
